With support from the Yambasu Agriculture Initiative, United Methodists in the South Congo Conference address food insecurity with new church farming projects that transform lives and sow the seeds of self-sufficiency.
In eastern Congo, a thriving farm funded through the Yambasu Agriculture Initiative combines vegetable, pig and fish farming to strengthen local food security and generate sustainable income for the community and the church.
Yambasu Agriculture Initiative farmers who recently trained with the YAI program in Porto Novo, Benin, realize tremendous change and results in their farming skills upon returning home.
