Maternal, Newborn and Child Health

Improving the health and well-being of mothers and children is an essential part of Global Ministries’ work in Global Health. The work is focused in areas of the world where maternal and infant mortality rates are highest due to isolation, poverty and limited services.

During pregnancy, childbirth and in the immediate postnatal period, women need care, education and support for their own health and in their role as care givers.

Global Ministries supports both women’s and children’s health and nutrition; community engagement, training and outreach; and HIV and AIDS awareness, counseling and testing.
