Strengthening global peace and justice efforts through collaboration with United Methodist, ecumenical and other global partners through support of key projects and initiatives aimed at promoting peace and justice around the world.
Describe the need affecting community
In a world that is increasingly polarized, with growing conflicts and the rise of fundamentalism and nationalism, the need for peace and justice ministries is more crucial than ever. It remains one of the primary goals of Global Ministries during these challenging times. We seek to strengthen collaboration with United Methodist and other partners to promote peacebuilding around the world.
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
This Advance will enhance Global Ministries’ collaboration with partners and support their efforts to strengthen peacebuilding initiatives. Financial support will allow them to scale up, extend reach, and respond effectively to challenges around the world, while promoting collaboration and efficient use of resources.
Describe the primary goal of the project
This Advance aims to support peacebuilding initiatives and promote justice by strengthening the collective capacity of United Methodist and other partners. Gifts to this Advance will foster collaboration, address global challenges and ensure the efficient use of resources to maximize impact and tackle complex regional issues.
Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project
As a result of this Advance, we aim to help reduce the growth of extremism and intolerance in the world through the establishment of stronger, more resilient communities with access to a just and peaceful environment. By enhancing collaboration and capacity, local organizations and partners will be better equipped to address poverty, injustice and instability, thereby promoting long-term development and peace. Ultimately, our goal is to cultivate thriving communities where justice, equality and human dignity are upheld.
