Describe the need affecting community
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
We will continue with the programs listed above as well as adding NOVA, our Thursday evening dinner and worship experience. We will begin a youth mentoring program, and also we are working on an adult mentoring program to assist those who want to begin the journey out of poverty.
Describe the primary goal of the project
The Mission of the House of the Carpenter is to: 1. Meet the basic needs of our neighbors (ministry of mercy: food, clothing, shelter). 2. Help improve the quality of life (ministry of transformation: education/experience/opportunity). 3. Introduce and disciple people in faith through the love of Jesus Christ.
Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project
1. Poverty and hunger decrease 2. Housing improve 3. Education improve 4. Drug and crime decrease 5. Sense of solid/stable community develop
