Project Information

Providing a place of worship, education and feeding children

Describe the need affecting community

These villagers continue to experience severe poverty. They continue to worship outside while we are working. The government of the Congo has oppressed the residents of this village. The children continue to eat oatmeal. They are exposed to all kind of diseases. Malaria has been killing many people. They really need a deep faith in God to sustain them.

How will this Advance project help to address the need?

So far we have been building their lives. Once the church building is done we can use it for several purposes. We can also use the building to train small farmers. The number of worshipers is going to double. Through preaching and teaching we hope these villagers would be able to learn how to grow crops and sell.

Describe the primary goal of the project

The primary Goal is to offer a place of worship to this new community of faith. We are improving their spiritual well being as well as their physical and emotional. We are approaching this in a very holistic way. This building is going to be used for many functions (educational and social). People of this village are going to be educated and trained spiritually. We can start a elementary school, a dispensary or clinic to help people.

Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project

We would like to see more spiritual leaders. We would like to see healthier children. We would like to see the church building being used as a place of safety.
