Describe the need affecting community
The church is not able to pay salaries for its’ pastors due to insufficient income from its’ members because majority of them are peasant farmers with no other source of income.
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
Grants raised through the Advance project will go along way in supporting the pastors’ with their families.
Describe the primary goal of the project
To have the clergy who have dedicated their lives to the service of God get a stipend to support themselves and their dependents. Alleviate suffering experienced by the pastors because the Churches where they serve or the Conference is not able to afford their salaries. Long term impact is that the pastors will be able to serve their congregations with dedication. More young people will be encouraged to join Ministry because of they will see the pastors are being well taken care.
Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project
Strong and healthy team of pastors’ serving in the Conference due to the support coming through this project. Vibrant and spiritually strong congregations because the pastors’ will be ready to serve without abandoning their churches to go look for alternative means of supporting their families. More young people will be willing to join Church ministry because they can see the pastors’ are being well taken care of. There will be opening of more Churches due to increased number of pastor’s and also more people will have been brought to Christ.
