Providing a Christian education for orphaned and vulnerable children in the Central Bungoma District.
Describe the need affecting community
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
Provide 3 meals per day. Provide clean living and study spaces. Provide physical examination and vaccinations once per year, medical care as needed. Provide physical education every day. Provide Christian worship twice a day. Provide 8 hours of concentrated instruction per day. Provide classes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Calculus, Trig, English, Swahili, History, Geography, and Christian studies among others. Provide a minister on staff for counseling.
Describe the primary goal of the project
Educating and evangelizing hundreds of impoverished and vulnerable youth. The long term impact of this will be to create Christian leaders, mentors, and witnesses in the Bungoma district of Western Kenya.
Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project
We would like to see our students become successful and contributing members of the community who will give back to the community what they’ve experienced and accomplished at Living Hope High School, improving living conditions and spiritual growth.
