Project Information

Building new church buildings and parsonages to increase the welfare of the members and the pastors.

Describe the need affecting community

Majority our members are worshipping God in buildings that not strong, and can easily fall in times of heavy rains and winds. At times when it is raining, it is very difficult for many of our members to come together in their church buildings which is leaking always due to poor construction of the roofs that were constructed with just grass. Many churches also have floors that are not made from cement of which there are not good for human health.

How will this Advance project help to address the need?

This project will help us in addressing these needs in the following ways: The moment we build a well established church buildings, our members will be able come together any time and any season without worrying about what will occur if it rains or heavy winds blow. This will help to avoid disturbances that may occur on the church activities due to weather elements. Building these churches will also help to spear head revival to the public, which has been proven that some people will not join churches whose buildings are not well established. Also because it seems like such churches are not well organized and have no future. In regard to the parsonages, many circuits are not yet established and have no capital to cater to nor to the rentals for their pastors. When we build it will be easy for those circuits to be sustained for the parsonages. In addition to that, welfare of the pastors will be considered as a priority since those homes will make their life comfortable .

Describe the primary goal of the project

To strengthen the infrastructure of the Malawi Provisional Annual Conference decreasing the financial burden on the local congregations, and increasing their capacity through training and education. In the a long run, we hope to have well constructed church buildings for every church and parsonage for every circuit.

Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project

That members of the church and the pastors are fully secured and safe whenever they are doing the ministry.
