Project Information

Striving to equip the church to be self-leading, self-replicating, and self-sustaining.

Describe the need affecting community

The United Methodist Church is still new in the Lake Zone area of Tanzania. Much work has been done in recent years in church planting, but more work needs to be done in church, planting the training of church leaders, and setting up sustainable avenues of church and community development.

How will this Advance project help to address the need?

Church Construction and Development will focus on all needs of church growth and development including the development of the physical church sites, development of church leadership, and development of the church’s ability to be self-replicating and self-sustaining. Additionally there is a continuous desire for the church to reach into the community to minister to the larger population. This project will help facilitate those ministries.

Describe the primary goal of the project

This project hopes to see holistic church development resulting in local churches and districts that can be self-leading, self-replicating, and self-sustaining as they grow vital congregations, disciple church members, and be a light to the community.

Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project

We hope to see churches excited and well equipped to all three areas of local church ministry, evangelism, discipleship, and outreach.
