Describe the need affecting community
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
Our project offers a wide variety of ways to become involved with the church (the body). The student center hosts both the women’s and men’s bible study weekly. Preschool is offered at a low cost three days a week to the interested public. The English Club is offered once a week with a native speaker from America. This draws in anywhere from fifteen to thirty people and introduces them to the Youth to Jesus program. In the past this has shown to be the best avenue of getting people to come to church and the Pilgrims worship service on Thursday. We have seen lives transformed through the Pilgrims and many of the students have stayed around years after to enter the church and have even become staff members.
Describe the primary goal of the project
The goal of this project is to lead others to know Jesus deeply and walk in his ways. The long term impacts of this project will be producing leaders in the church and the world who can readily speak the word of Christ.
Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project
We would like to see a yearning for Christ deeper than attending a church service like clockwork because society says we are supposed to. We would like to see hearts and lives transformed into something bigger, something greater, a longing to be close to our Savior and trust in His will to carry us where we need to be. We would like to provide a place where his name is openly preached, praised and where we can build each other up in His great name.
