In Haiti, escalating violence, frequent natural disasters and cuts to international humanitarian aid have left at-risk communities more vulnerable than ever. Through grants to local partners in the country, UMCOR is continuing to provide women, children and families with health care, counseling services, food and shelter needs, and more.

Kenya and Madagascar Drought

UMCOR awarded grants to the Methodist Church of Kenya and the Methodist Church Madagascar for emergency food rations to help meet the basic needs of thousands of vulnerable families affected by the ongoing drought.

Louisiana Storms and Tornadoes

In October, multiple tornados and high winds hit the already ravaged areas of Lake Charles and southern Louisiana.
