Hurricane Beryl

UMCOR is coordinating with partners in the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) to support immediate relief efforts and has awarded solidarity grants to three MCCA districts: Jamaica, Haiti and Southern Caribbean.

Since 2022, UMCOR has provided aid and assistance to UMC and ecumenical partners and non-governmental organizations to help those who remain in Ukraine as well as those who have fled to surrounding countries.

UMCOR awarded a solidarity grant to the Pacific Northwest Conference to support initial response efforts to widespread wildfire in Washington and Idaho.

Hurricane Debby

After making landfall in Florida on Aug. 5 and traveling up the U.S. coast, this storm brought historic amounts of rainfall and flooding. UMCOR has awarded a solidarity grant to the Florida, South Georgia and Upper New York conferences and is coordinating with disaster response ministries in other affected conferences.

Texas

Hurricane Beryl

Following the storm’s July 8 landfall in Texas that brought wind and flooding, UMCOR is providing support for immediate relief efforts through four emergency grants to the Texas Annual Conference. As the storm traveled through the U.S., it continued to bring heavy rain and flooding to other states and regions. UMCOR is also supporting relief efforts in Vermont with a solidarity grant.
