Since late June, over 650 lives have been lost due to relentless rains, with 351 lives lost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the past 72 hours alone. Entire villages have been swept away, infrastructure is crippled, and thousands are displaced.
In response, we awarded a solidarity grant to our regional partner, Community World Service Asia (CWSA). This grant will provide urgent relief and build resilience among 100 flood-affected households in Hunza and Nagar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, through the distribution of emergency relief kits, the establishment of community-managed emergency funds, and the creation of a “Garden of Hope” to promote psychosocial recovery and environmental sustainability.
