On June 22, a powerful storm caused major damage in Madison, Oneida and Chenango counties in New York, leading to the deaths of at least three people. In response, UMCOR awarded a solidarity grant to the Upper New York Annual Conference to support immediate relief efforts. UMCOR-trained Early Response Team members have given a combined 400 hours toward cleanup efforts. Additionally, the conference is partnering with Amish volunteers to help in the relief activities, and some of the funds will support their transportation.
