In early June, torrential rains caused widespread flooding that killed dozens and displaced more than 13,000 people. UMCOR communicated with local partners and awarded a solidarity grant to the Eglise Methodiste d’Haiti to provide cash assistance in order for people to receive urgently needed cleaning supplies and non-food items (NFI) such as mattresses, cooking/eating materials and hygiene items.
