On September 11, torrential rains from Storm/Cyclone Daniel and the collapse of two dams produced catastrophic flooding in Libya, washing whole neighborhoods into the Mediterranean Sea. Tens of thousands of people were swept away by the floodwater and thousands more are still missing. UMCOR awarded a solidarity grant to partner International Blue Crescent (IBC) to assist with emergency relief.
