WAYS TO REACH ME:

Bertile Agbor is a Global Mission Fellow with the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries, engaged in a two-year term of service with the Zimbabwe United Methodist Episcopal Health Board, based in Harare. She was commissioned in August 2018.

The Global Mission Fellows program takes young adults ages 20-30 out of their home environments and places them in new contexts for mission experience and service. The program has a strong emphasis on faith and justice. Global Mission Fellows become active parts of their new local communities. They connect the church in mission across cultural and geographical boundaries. They grow in personal and social holiness and become strong young leaders working to build just communities in a peaceful world.

Bertile is from Yaoundé, Cameroon. She is a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Buea, a congregation of the Cameroon Mission in the West Africa Central Conference. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Buea Cameroon. Bertile has worked in the finance industry. She also has served as a board member of the United Methodist Division of Ministries with Young People and as a division representative to the United Methodist Global AIDS Committee. Her father is a local pastor.

A strong sense of call to mission service extends across Bertile’s years of involvement in her local church, central conference and general church agencies. Motivated by concern for social justice, she sees the Global Mission Fellows program as the next step in fulfilling that calling.
