Partnering with faith-rooted legal advocates, grassroots networks, UMC connections and international humanitarian agencies, this work supports migrants and refugees through legal assistance, emergency relief, food security, housing, psychosocial care and much more. From local congregations welcoming newcomers in U.S. towns to food programs for displaced families in Gaza, many facets of Global Ministries’ work accompany migrants through every stage of their journey – affirming their humanity, upholding their dignity and advocating for justice. - [This Moment Matters – Agriculture and](https://umcmission.org/giving/this-moment-matters-agriculture): Global efforts to eliminate hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition are meeting more roadblocks because of the elimination of many U.S. foreign aid programs. In Africa, Global Ministries is expanding the Yambasu Agriculture Initiative to assist communities with sustainable agriculture initiatives and income generation. By leveraging longstanding relationships with UMC episcopal areas and annual conferences in Africa, and educational institutions and agricultural initiatives worldwide, Global Ministries seeks to improve lives and livelihoods among those it can reach. - [This Moment Matters – Education](https://umcmission.org/giving/this-moment-matters-education): Cuts to foreign aid, the dismantling of equity initiatives and threats to public education are jeopardizing access for students and impacting educational institutions — especially those in marginalized communities and developing regions. By investing in leadership development and scholarships, Higher Education and Ministry and the Black College Fund are restoring opportunity, strengthening theological education, and ensuring continued access to scholarships and formative leadership opportunities. - [This Moment Matters – Peace](https://umcmission.org/giving/this-moment-matters-peace): Working in collaboration with global and local partners, Global Ministries Peace programs foster advocacy, accompaniment and action networks; strengthen interfaith collaboration; and support humanitarian aid and development programs. Initiatives such as the peace pilgrimage, mediation and reconciliation training, trauma healing ministries and the advocacy academy for human rights and social justice equip leaders to participate in peacemaking ministries. - [This Moment Matters – Global Health](https://umcmission.org/giving/this-moment-matters-global-health): Through strategic partnerships with African health boards and support for local health systems, we are working to restore suspended initiatives, combat preventable diseases, and ensure continued access to lifesaving treatments, vaccines, and vital healthcare services for vulnerable communities. Our current Global Health priorities include: Maternal Newborn and Child Health; HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis; malaria awareness, prevention, testing and treatment; nutritional assistance and rehabilitation; essential medicines; and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). - [This Moment Matters](https://umcmission.org/giving/this-moment-matters): We stand at a critical crossroads. Recent U.S. policy changes have depleted funding sources for vital educational institutions, health care organizations, sustainable livelihoods programs and peace efforts, putting already struggling families and communities at further risk. Join us in prayerfully responding to this moment with compassion, courage and lasting efforts. - [Global Ministries Creation Care Network Terms of Use](https://umcmission.org/global-ministries-creation-care-network-terms-of-use): The Global Ministries Creation Care Network Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) define the conditions under which any person authorized by Global Ministries (hereinafter designated as “the User”) may access and use the Community Website and all the functionalities provided (hereinafter designated together as “the Service”). - [test page](https://umcmission.org/test-page): 100% of your donation supports disaster response. - [UMCOR Disaster Response Updates](https://umcmission.org/work/humanitarian-relief/updates): Get up to date on UMCOR’s disaster response efforts.
