Describe the primary goal of the project
The purpose of this challenging fund for Hispanic ministry is to support local congregations and community-based organizations who are responding to the spiritual and social needs of the Hispanic/Latino population in the US. Grants from this fund prioritize intentional leadership development on the evolving generations. Grants will support new and traditional forms of ministries as well as community-based programs that address the socio-economic conditions of Hispanic/Latinos. The fund will support: o Leadership training for clergy and lay as well as youth and young adults. o The renew and invigoration of existing ministries. o Programs are seeking to address poverty through holistic and comprehensive initiatives. o To promote health and wellbeing. An example of this work will include small grants to Hispanic/Latino congregations that seek to respond to the HIV/AIDS issues. Those who will be seeking funding will need to submit proposals with a clear description of goal and objectives. An end of project evaluation will be required.
