Providing opportunities for spiritual formation, for pastors and church member in Eurasia.

Describe the need affecting community

The Methodist movement was restarted in Eurasia after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Most Eurasian of the pastors and church members are first generation Christians. Because of the stress found in society and personal circumstances, many of these new Christians experience emotional burnout. With this new project, the ministry of spiritual formation will help people to recenter their lives in God, find peace and clarity for the future.

How will this Advance project help to address the need?

This project will continue to build on our existing programs. Academy for Spiritual Formation has resonated especially well with our people. Through this ministry we want to serve people and also train people to serve others in the area of spiritual formation.

Describe the primary goal of the project

The primary goal of this project is to have a spiritually strong pastors and church members in Eurasia. They will have a strong spiritual disciplines practices daily and inspire others to follow Christ.

Describe the change you would like to see in the community as a result of this Advance project

Spiritually strong pastors and leaders will give strong witness to the community. People in the community will be inspired to experience relationship with God and practice spiritual disciplines.
